Abstract
The pulmonary circuit pressure and systemic circuit pressure have been measured in normal dogs. Also, the pressure gradient for the return of blood to the right and left heart has been calculated. The pulmonary circuit pressure averaged 3.34 mm. Hg greater than the systemic circuit pressure. The pressure gradient for the return of blood to the left heart was 0.80 mm. Hg greater than the pressure gradient for venous return to the right heart.
