Abstract
The photon-induced L X-ray fluorescence cross sections ( sigma L1, sigma L alpha , sigma L beta and sigma L gamma ) and relative intensities (IL1/IL alpha , IL beta /IL alpha and IL gamma /IL alpha ) for Tm, Lu, Th and U have been measured at various incident photon energies in the range 15-60 keV. Good agreement is found between the present results and the theoretically calculated values of L X-ray fluorescence cross sections and relative intensities. To the best of the authors' knowledge, the L X-ray fluorescence cross sections for these elements at different energies, except those of Th and U at 59.54 keV, are being reported for the first time.
