Abstract

In this paper, a visible light detection method based on an open-end coaxial line resonator is proposed. Different from the traditional photodetectors, the coaxial line resonator loaded with a CdS photoresistor between the inner and outer conductors at the open end is used as the optical signal detection sensor to realize the conversion of the optical signal to the microwave signal. The working frequency of the coaxial line resonator is 3.5GHz. When the CdS photoresistor is irradiated, the working characteristics will change, which will disturb the microwave resonance performance of the coaxial line resonator. Therefore, the detection of the optical signal can be realized according to the working performance variation of the coaxial line resonator under different irradiation.
