Measurement of enthalpies and entropies of activation as a function of pairwise distance for the pairwise relative diffusion of SrI2 in water over lengthscales from 6 Å to 40 Å

Abstract

The activation energy for the diffusion of ions relative to one another as a function of their spacing can be determined from the temperature dependence of coherent quasi-elastic neutron scattering. It is lower than that for pure D2O self diffusion.
