Abstract

When Sonja O. Stills became the Commissioner of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, she became not only the first woman to lead the MEAC but also the first female commissioner of a Division I conference made up of historically Black colleges and universities. Stills has held several positions with the MEAC since she joined the organization, which have enabled her to learn all aspects of conference administration and leadership.
