Abstract
The shape and linewidth of the triplet-triplet absorption of naphthalene in durene and in perdeuterated naphthalene, as well as of naphthalene X-traps, have been analyzed. It is found that the observed lines are lifetime broadened and that relaxation of the superexcited triplet state is intra- and intermolecular.
