Abstract
Purpose of the CCC—In any discussion of the educational program of the Civilian Conservation Corps it should be borne in mind that, as established in 1933, it bad no primary educational objective in the sense of formal instruction. Rather, its purposes should be described as twofold: (a) work relief, and (b) conservation and development of natural resources.
