It is indicative of the increasing employment of mathematicians in industry that after the successful Oxford Mathematical Conference in 1957, the University of Liverpool should have arranged another conference of teachers, research scientists and industrialists at Easter, 1959. A record of this Conference has now been published, which will interest many teachers in schools and technical colleges.
