Abstract
Mathematical formulation in case of single stage continuous production sector with restrictions is really very complex task. These types of complicated real life problems may not be answered by traditional methods to get quality realistic solutions within stipulated time. Motivated by a real life problem of waiting period of pilgrim while taking darshan at Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir, Pandharpur, this paper attempts an effective mathematical model for reducing waiting period of pilgrim. Authors assume darshan process as single stage production system. This mathematical model can further be modified by modern optimization methods. The paper also describe the implementation of matlab software in which proposed mathematical model is used as an effective method to predict and minimize the waiting period of pilgrim.
