Abstract

The mathematical modeling and rapid recognitions of different hypersonic inlet buzz patterns were investigated in this paper by the need of inlet monitoring and control. Firstly, the unsteady flowfield of a mixed-compression hypersonic inlet was numerically simulated, and different buzz patterns of hypersonic inlet were given. Then the deterministic learning theory and rapid recognition methods were introduced to describe the periodic oscillatory behavior and detect current inlet buzz pattern respectively. The significance of the paper is that a complete approach is proposed, in which the mathematical modeling and rapid recognition of hypersonic inlet unstart (little and big buzz) can be performed, and the simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
