Abstract

Radial eigenfunctions appropriate for the dielectric (or plasma) layered medium and air are used to obtain an exact solution of the problem of radiation from a magnetic line source (or a slotted antenna) on a conducting infinite wedge with a cylindrical cap covered by a dielectric (or plasma) sheath. In order to satisfy the boundary conditions at the interfaces between the dielectric (or plasma) and the air, it is necessary to expand the radial eigenfunctions of one medium in terms of those of the other.
