Abstract
The valuer is concerned with the calculation of the capital and rental value of numerous types of property. Most professional offices will use calculating machines for the mathematical aspect of their work. In the majority of examinations, however, the use of these machines is not permitted. Hence, the student should know how to use other mathematical aids, namely logarithmic tables and the slide rule.
