Abstract

Background and Aims: Statins are contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation; however, data on statin use in pregnancy is limited, and the risks associated with statin exposure in human pregnancies remain unclear. We aimed 1) to examine patterns of statin use prior to, during, and after pregnancy, and 2) to examine the association between exposure to statins during pregnancy and health outcomes in mother and offspring.
