Abstract

(Abstracted from BMJ 2019;367:l6398) The primary cause of worldwide mortality and morbidity is cardiovascular disease (CVD). Recently, increases in CVD have disproportionately affected children and young adults, who have experienced the most drastic upticks in disease incidence.
