November 01 2018 Materiality and Politics in Chile’s Museum of Memory and Human Rights Andrés Estefane Andrés Estefane Andrés Estefane is a PhD student in the Department of History at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was a CONICYT Scholar (2008-2012) and has a BA in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His research deals with the links between bureaucracy, local power, and the production of state knowledge from a historical perspective, as well as the relationship between politics, history and memory in contemporary Latin America. Since March 2012 he works as a researcher at the Center for the Study of Political History and is Associate Professor at the School of Government in the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Santiago, Chile.
