Abstract

The mass-spectrometric investigation of the kinetics of chemisorption under the conditions of linear temperature increase was tested on the example of the hydrolysis of methoxysilyl groups on the surface of aerosil; a constant vapor pressure of the modifier was maintained above the adsorbent. It has been established that the above-mentioned reaction proceeds in the kinetic region according to an impact mechanism, and that its rate is limited predominantly by the entropy factor.
