Abstract
The real parts of the optical model (OM) potential for deuterons, as calculated in the folding model (FM), 1,2) have been fitted to analytic forms convenient for use in standard OM codes. The target mass number range 6≤A≤216 was used in a linear least-squares fit of each of the FM potential parameters as a function of A1/3 for 15-MeV deuterons. Differences between observables calculated with FM potentials and with fitted potentials were < 2%. These potentials can be used as starting values for OM searches.
