Abstract

The authors examine approaches to process and device simulation based on parallel architectures and consider the suitability of massively parallel computers for this task. Particular attention is given to three-dimensional device simulation and three-dimensional simulation through Monte Carlo techniques. Preliminary computational experience shows that the large parallelism offered by these machines can be effectively exploited for device and process simulation. >
