Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of marital behavior of women lived in the area of the Yaroslavl Big Manufactory in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The study is based on the parish registers of three Yaroslavl churches located in the factory district. Marital behavior is analyzed through the prism of the marital circle, spouses’ social class, age and age differences. The author pays special attention to divorces.
