Abstract

Based on the data of China's coastal areas from 2001 to 2020, this paper constructs a simultaneous equation model to study the relationship among China's marine environmental pollution, aquatic products trade and marine fishery economy, and the vector error correction model is used to analyze the process and degree of the interaction among variables. The results show that the inhibition of marine environmental pollution and aquatic products trade to the marine fishery economy in China's coastal areas can reach 2.408%. In the long run, the rapid development of fishery economy and the increase of aquatic products trade are beneficial to the improvement of marine environmental pollution, and the improvement can reach up to 1.037%, while the rapid growth of marine fishery economy, the aggravation of marine environmental pollution can restrain the aquatic products trade up to 1.668%. Therefore, in the process of developing marine fishery economy in the future, the government should strengthen the protection of marine environment, develop the trade of aquatic products in the coastal area moderately, and realize the healthy and harmonious development of marine fishery economy and marine environment.
