Abstract

A new analysis of data from Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy concludes that charitable giving is expected to rise 4.2% in the U.S. this year, and mark sizeable growth the following year as well, putting a decisive end to the lackluster fundraising returns for the last few years. These predictions, though, have some in the sector questioning if nonprofits will be well situated to take advantage of the surge in giving.
