Abstract

AbstractThe nonlinear optical properties of semiconductors, which are excited by a strong laser pulse at the excitonic resonance are investigated. The concepts to describe the time‐evolution of the initially coherently excited system in the framework of a nonequilibrium Green's function theory are discussed in general. Numerical results are presented for a quasistationary limit and compared with recent experimental data.
