Abstract
The annual US Conference on GaAs MANufacturing TECHnology (ManTech) is one of those places you'd like to be, with people you want to know. It's an extremely successful, and rather powerful group of industry veterans, who have been through a lot together. Now that GaAs production is turning the corner toward volume manufacturing, and all eyes are on the US to see if it can remain a major global technology producing country, these GaAs leaders realize they still have their work cut out for them. They also understand that, together, they can do the job. Using ManTech as a barometer, the US is clearly ramping up for positive change.
