Abstract
Saparua as small island rich in coastal natural resources. Main coastal ecosystem are mangrove, seagrass beds, coral reefs and sandy beach. Coastal ecosystem also has an important role in ecotourism environment services to improve the communities economy and must be managed sustainably. This paper aimed to identifying potential small islands coastal areas as a tourist destination and planned management to sustainable ecotourism used SWOT analysis. Ecotourism was sustained in small islands can be conducted integrally through 14 management strategy to tourism industry which economic, social and environmental dimension. Ecotourism coastal area management of small islands should be done in coordination with the agrosilvofishery.

Dilakukan analisis SWOT (David, 2010) untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kepentingan dan efektifitasnya sebagai derah wisata pesisir berkelanjutan. Analisis ini menyertakan responden dari berbagai bidang (Tabel 1) seperti akademisi expert bidang pariwisata dan ekosistem pesisir, wisatawan domestik, mancanegara dan expert traveler yang pernah mengunjungi pulau Saparua dan pemangku kepentingan di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah maupun Provinsi Maluku. Penilaian dilakukan sesuai dengan tingkat kepentingan setiap komponen faktor dengan skor bobot 1-5 (1 tidak penting; 3 penting dan 5 sangat penting), sedangkan ranking dengan nilai 1-4 (1 tidak penting; 2 kurang penting; 3 penting dan 4 sangat penting) Bahanbahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yang dituliskan di sini hanya berupa bahan utama saja dan harus dilengkapi dengan merk dan kemurniannya, misalnya: H2SO4 (Merck, 99%). Peralatan-peralatan yang dituliskan di bagian ini hanya berisi peralatan-peralatan utama saja dilengkapi dengan merk, misalnya: Furnace elektrik (Carbolite). Metode yang telah baku bisa dijelaskan secara singkat dan disitasi seperlunya sedangkan metode atau teknik baru perlu dijelaskan secara detail
