Abstract

Interest in international management research has recently been increasing. Still, there seems to be a critical lack of management research in less developed countries (LDCs). This paper tries to address their deficiency by shedding light on the international research environment in such countries. The first part discusses the more urgent research priorities arising from the liberalization policies being adopted in many of these countries. The second part addresses the challenges and problems of conducting research in LDCs. The final part presents suggestions for future research approaches and methodologies.
