Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted education institutions to close their doors and move quickly to distance teaching through information technologies. And the entire educational landscape around the world, regardless of the level of development of the countries, has fundamentally changed in a few weeks since the outbreak of the pandemic crisis. The educational act during the COVID-19 pandemic was forcibly transferred from the classroom to the virtual space, with students having to go through a distance study process. Online school has become a necessity, a variant of traditional school supplementation, in crisis conditions. The purpose of this article is to analyze the pandemic context, which led to the confrontation of educational institutions with various challenges and how institutional management has been adapted to them, such as ensuring access to quality education, the absence of adequate teaching equipment for online lessons and the lack of training for all teachers in the field of IT, distance teaching and evaluation.
