Abstract
It is argued that Biology syllabuses give insufficient attention to man's role in ecological processes and his interaction with the environment. They should: (a) place more emphasis on man's management of the environment; (b) consider environmental problems from a global perspective: and (c) approach many environmental issues from multi-disciplinary viewpoints.
