Abstract

This article aims to explore the concept of Maliya Sing Umbara, the behavior of Nusantara Man in living their lives by reflecting on the behavior of holy man (guardians) along with an important symbol, the Dragon, a figure of holiness across space and time, both cognita (real) and incognita (beyond the real), to follow the path of goodness, truth and justice. The Maliya Sing Umbara practice of Indonesian people together with the Dragon can even go beyond the cognita and the incognita, in order to uphold holiness, through two integrative paths, namely the path of cultural conception and the practice of religiosity. The path to cultural conception, as per the Pacul metaphor from Sunan Kalijaga, must be carried out by killing arrogant which is the center of the hijab of holiness. The practical path of religiosity, as an important signal of three verses of the Qur'an in Surah Kahf (18) verses 85, 89 and 92, "faat ba'a sababa" King Zulqarnain took a journey of holiness in the name of Allah in prophetic guidance. Maliya Sing Umbara's two integrative paths for the Nusantara Man are the path of upholding Alif and destroying the idols of knowledge, towards what is called The Living Science as well as The Living of Everything; across space and time, even beyond it, towards Holiness Space and Time.
