Abstract
This article discusses the perspective of the Western scholar on the works of George Sarton entitled Introduction to the History of Science. It aims to identify the perspective of Western scholars as to this work. It also aims to classify every perspective portrayed by Western scholars to such a work. This study is a qualitative research through content analysis method. Hermeneutics approach is also used to make the interpretation of such scholars. The study found that the Western scholars apparently do not unanimously agree in their views about the work. Johnson, EGB, Haskins and Barnes are seen touching it with positive perspective.
