Abstract

If people do not carefully read Matthew 6:20, the essay about Jesus' expression in the phrase "gathering up treasures in heaven," many will assume that what is meant is accumulating the world's wealth in the form of material such as food, clothing, gold, silver and various other things related to material things. However, after conducting an investigation based on the biblical study approach, He gave an essay that accumulating treasure in heaven is an act or act of pleasing God by living rightly and doing His will according to God's Word. It is not wrong to look for worldly treasures in fulfilling all the necessities of life, as long as it is in a good way and according to God's will. Therefore, it must be realized that all worldly treasures in the material form will disappear, while treasures in heaven are eternal and provide eternal happiness to their owners.
