Abstract
David Alderson is a senior lecturer in modern literature in the English and American Studies Department at the University of Manchester. He is the author of a recent book on Terry Eagleton (2004) and is currently working on two related projects, one on the culture and politics of the neoliberal transition, the other on postgay culture. In relation to these projects he has published, or has papers forthcoming, on Queer as Folk (British version), Will Self's Dorian: An Imitation, Mark Ravenhill, and Ian McEwan.
