Abstract

Relevance. Research on global technological development's impact on national economies is essential to understand the intricate forces shaping the modern economy, driven by Industry 4.0 technologies and global disparities. Purpose. The purpose of the article is a comparative study of national economies, taking into account the main trends of global technological development. Methodology. Achieving this result required the use of methods: classification of countries by the level of their technological development, automated processing of statistical information, as well as its generalization. Results. The main result of the study is the conclusion that at present there is a differentiation of the advanced countries of the world in the management of technological development, while the work carried out made it possible to conclude that the importance of the Asian region in the global technological development will increase in the near future. The distribution of 26 countries of the world into three clusters was carried out, which describe the level of their technological development. Conclusions. The conducted research shows the presence of inequality in this component of development, even in those countries that are today the leaders of the world economy. In practical terms, this study made it possible to assert that in the world economy there is a "global shift" in the system of the world division of labor towards Asian countries, in connection with which it is important to cooperate with these countries in the field of scientific and technological development.
