MAIN INDICATORS OF ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF FOREIGN ECONOMIC ACTIVITY OF ENTERPRISES

Abstract

We formed methodological basis for the study of the effectiveness of foreign economic activity of enterprises. The effectiveness of foreign economic activity at the enterprise level is determined primarily by analyzing the profitability of foreign trade operations by comparing revenues and expenses, as well as the effectiveness of foreign economic activity is determined by the level of performance of the tasks. The complex nature of determining the effectiveness of foreign economic activity is also due to the use of marketing indicators (market share in a certain foreign market, increasing the degree of popularity of the product brand and manufacturer, increasing the number of customers, etc.). Also, to determine the effectiveness of foreign economic activity, analysis of the use of assets and funds of an enterprise, production of investment processes, product quality, and the like is involved. Based on the generalization of modern views on the assessment of the effectiveness of foreign economic activity, “signal” indicators have been proposed for carrying out an operational analysis of foreign economic activity of enterprises, the introduction of which will lead to information support for making primary management decisions in the system of foreign economic activity, namely: export operation efficiency indicators; performance indicators of import operations; indicators of generalized efficiency of foreign economic activity.The use of these indicators may be an element of the so-called “alarm panel” that manager use for monitoring current external activities. The negative trend of these indicators will indicate the need for additional depth study and comprehensive analysis of other indicators, as well as the factors that caused such trends to make management decisions about introducing changes in the production of foreign economic activity, which will increase efficiency and strengthen competitive advantages in the market.
