Abstract

The lead-free multiferroic sandwich film 0.948(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3–0.052LiSbO3/CoFe2O4/0.948(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3–0.052LiSbO3 was fabricated on the Ni–5at%W RABiTS tape by pulsed laser deposition and its room-temperature magnetoelectric (ME) characteristics were investigated. The ME behaviors strongly depended on the magnitude of bias magnetic field and the frequency of driving field. The resonance peak in frequency-dependent ME voltage coefficient was observed and the maximum value of ME voltage coefficient was found to be 1013.9mVcm−1Oe−1. It is a very high value in the lead-free ME film system for the potential use on actuators and sensors, etc.
