Abstract

The colossal magnetoresistive thin films La x MnO 3+ δ have been investigated by means of dynamic magneto-optical method. The spectral, temperature and field dependencies of transverse Kerr effect for all samples were measured. It is shown that value, shape of spectra, and phase transition temperature are strongly dependent on x . Temperature and field dependencies changes from typical antiferromagnetic to typical ferromagnetic with decreasing x . Intermediate state x=0.9 demonstrates strong temperature hysteresis. Magneto-optical results show that because of doping vacancy in cationic lattice, electronic and magnetic structures are changed. Transformation of field and spectral dependencies are attributable to variation relation between AFM phase and FM which are characterized by different ratios of magneto-active ions.
