Abstract

Abstract Magneto-optical method revealed out that one-directional fluxoid intrusion in superconducting Nb single crystal with 70% deformation was obviously depressed by overlaying a mu-metal band (45μm thickness×0.3mm width) across the intrusion direction on the top surface of the Nb disc (2mm dia.×0.55mm t). From the optical density distributions, the pinning force f p due to the band was estimated at 4≈8×10 5 dyne/cm 3 Another ferromagnetic band made of “the sound tape” showed little influence.
