Abstract

The magnetic circular dichroism of the absorption (MCDA) of transitions between the ground state and the excited bound exciton states of the neutral donors S 0, Te 0 and Ge 0 in GaP was measured. Zero phonon lines and phonon replicas were resolved. The MCDA lines were correlated to the S 0, Te 0 and Ge 0 EPR spectra by measuring the tagged MCDA spectra. Furthermore, for S 0 and Te 0 donors the MCDA of a photoionisation transition into the L-band minimum was observed with an onset at 0.55 eV (S 0) and 0.53 eV (Te 0), respectively.
