Abstract
We have performed B 11 -NMR experiments of CuB 2 O 4 using a single crystal with an operating frequency 6.8 MHz down to liquid He 3 temperatures in order to investigate the properties of the successive phase transitions. In addition to the two-step successive magnetic phase transitions at T N = 21 K and T * ∼ 10 K , we have found clear evidence of the first-order phase transition at around 0.8 K under 0.5 T. This phase boundary corresponds to the third transition at T * * ∼ 1.8 K for zero magnetic field whose detail has been unclear so far.
