Abstract
PRASAD AND CO-WORKERS 1 have determined the average values of the magnetic susceptibilities of many cations such as Ca--, Sr--, Ba••, Mg", Zn•", Hg (ous and ic) and Pb from the study of a large number of their salts of inorganic and organic acids. They have made a rather striking observation that the mean values of the susceptibilities of these cations obtained from salts of organic acids are higher than those obtained from salts of inorganic acids.
