Abstract

In this work, a humic acid modified magnetic nanoparticles (HA-Fe3O4 MNPs) was synthesized and applied for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of Pb(Ⅱ) from water samples. The as-prepared HA-Fe3O4 MNPs was characterized through FT-IR, XRD, VSM and TEM. Various parameters including sample pH, amount of adsorbent, adsorption/desorption time, sample volume, concentration, and volume of the eluent were investigated. In optimal condition, the linear range of the proposed method was 30–500 μg L-1. The limit of detection (LOD) and quantifcation (LOQ) were achieved 4.9 and 16.3 µg L-1, respectively. The enrichment factor (EF) was found to be 25. The relative standard deviations were 3.1% and 3.9%, respectively. The proposed method was successfully utilized for preconcentrations of Pb(Ⅱ) in water samples by FAAS.
