Abstract
The phase diagrams and temperature dependences of magnetizations in a transverse Ising nanowire with an antiferromagnetic spin configuration at the surface are studied by the use of the effective-field theory with correlations. A number of characteristic features, such as the possibility of reentrant phenomena being free from disorder-induced frustration, are obtained for the magnetic properties in the system.
