Abstract
A mixed compound Ni x Mn 1− x TiO 3 with exchange frustrations and competing anisotropies was studied by de-magnetization and neutron scattering measurements, and the concentration versus temperature phase diagram was established. A variety of magnetic phases, including a spin glass phase and the mixed phases reentered from the antiferromagnetic ones, appear on both sides of the SG phase. In addition we found that the spin direction in the AF phase on the Mn rich side rotated from the c-axis to the c-plane, whereas it rotated again from the c-plane to the c-axis in the mixed phase.
