Abstract

Electron spin resonance spectra of a single crystal of organic radical, 5-carboxy-2-thienyl nitronyl nitroxide, exhibiting a magnetic phase transition were measured over the temperature range, which includes the transition temperature of the radical. The radical shows discontinuous changes in the g factor and the line width at the transition temperature accompanied with considerable thermal hysteresis.
