Abstract

Neutron diffraction measurements made on intermetallic compounds in the new Heusler alloy series Pd 2- x Ag x MnIn show a sequence of magnetic structures that relate to the changes in electron concentration produced by altering the proportions of silver to palladium. The implications of the results are discussed and compared with related series.
