Abstract

The magnetic moment of Mn atoms embedded in Fe-Ni alloys and the magnetic disturbance in the host alloy were obtained at room temperature by means of diffuse scattering of polarized neutrons. These can be explained by introducing the flipping of the Mn moments with increasing Fe concentration.
