Abstract

The transverse magnetoresistance and Hall resistance in NbSe 3 measured below the charge-density wave (CDW) transition at 59 K indicate magnetic field induced modifications of the Fermi surface with enhanced condensation of electrons into the CDW. At 1.1 K changes in the quantum oscillation frequency with depinning of the CDW indicate a band structure shift connected with impurity pinning. A new mode of CDW motion is also observed at high magnetic fields and low temperature.
