Magnetic field dependencies of the critical current and self-induced resonances are calculated for DC SQUIDs fabricated from a 0 and a π Josephson junction in parallel, the so called π-SQUID. It is shown how such a SQUID configuration can be implemented in practice, in particular using bicrystal junction technology.
