Abstract
Data in the literature about the singularities of phase transitions, as well as of magnetoelastic effects accompanying the shock compression of a magnetized substance is analyzed. This data is of interest for the development of the kinetics of the phase transformations under consideration during shock loading of the substance. The magnetic effect for a phase transition of the first kind, and in the second kind are studied. The shock demagnetization of ferrites is also studied.
