Abstract
In the installation of linear magnetic system, any curved or uneven surfaces of the magnetic medium would result in significant fluctuations in final recording accuracy. This work investigates effect of medium curvature on recording accuracy. Preliminary experimental results suggest that significant recording accuracy can be affected by medium magnetic flux distribution resulted from medium curvature This also suggests that should the medium can be flattened, the recording accuracy can be improved.
