Abstract

The magnetization of the metamagnetic Co(Si 1− x Se x ) 2 system with 0 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.2 has been measured under high pressure and high magnetic field. The magnetic phase diagram is determined in the T− x plane. The metamagnetic behavior under high pressure and high magnetic field and the magnetic phase diagram can be elucidated well with a theory of itinerant electron metamagnetism at finite temperatures.
